Matt and Dom had the right idea. A cocktail wedding at Robertson Public House, their favourite people together, and a party from the start. Their package brought together the DJ, photobooth and Sparkulars to help make it happen.

Relaxed wedding format. Plenty of energy. Absolutely our kind of celebration.

Why wait to get the party going?

One of the things I love about a cocktail wedding is the freedom to move around. Catch up with someone, have a dance, grab your mates for a photo. The music gets to be part of the whole celebration.

For Matt and Dom, that meant a DJ format with the party feeling there from the beginning. You can see it in the photos: people together, hands up and plenty of smiles across the room.

A relaxed format still needs someone reading the room

Keeping a cocktail wedding moving takes more than putting on a few good songs. You’re watching the guests, mixing live and working out where the energy wants to go next.

That’s where all those years behind the decks are such an asset. Knowing when to build it, when to give a song some room and when the crowd is ready for the next one. A relaxed celebration still deserves that care.

And a little extra sparkle.

Matt and Dom had Sparkulars included in their package, adding those fountains of sparks to the party. With hands in the air and everyone getting amongst it, they made for a pretty special dancefloor moment.

Good music, your favourite people and a little extra wow. Better Together Photo Co captured it beautifully.

DJ and photobooth. A pretty great combination.

Matt and Dom also had our photobooth, and the gallery has some brilliant moments of guests getting together in front of it. Heart-shaped sunnies, a sparkly hat and friends squeezing in for a photo. Exactly the sort of fun you want to look back on.

It’s a lovely fit for a cocktail reception. There’s another reason to grab someone and get amongst it, with the music keeping the celebration going around you.
