At Ultimate DJs we want to simplify your experience as much as possible and keep your mind at ease. If you should have any further questions that are not answered here, please do not hesitate to get into contact.
Are your DJs actually DJs — or just someone pressing play?
Real DJs. Every Ultimate DJs performer is handpicked, has years behind the decks in clubs and at weddings, mixes live on the night, and reads your room song by song. No pre-baked Spotify playlist, no autopilot.
How far in advance do we need to book?
Our dates are assigned on a first come, first served basis. It’s the only way to be fair to the large number of wedding clients that are interested in booking our services. We recommend securing your date as soon as you have your venue locked in to avoid disappointment.
How much do you charge?
Our pricing is public — no quote games. Our main 5-hour wedding packages are the Gold DJ Package at $1,500 inc GST and the Signature DJ Package at $1,800 inc GST, both listed on our weddings page. Add-ons like MC services, ceremony music, uplighting and photobooths are priced individually, and travel outside the Illawarra is quoted up front.
Will your DJs act as the MC?
Yes — for an additional $300 your DJ will double as your professional MC, making announcements and keeping the night flowing. If you prefer to use someone from your circle of friends and family, we will support them throughout the night to ensure everything progresses smoothly.
Can you assist me in choosing the music for the night?
Absolutely! We can help you choose music for all aspects of the night eg. First dance, Bridal Party Entry, Farewell etc. We now have an app that can offer suggestions for you!
May we submit a “Do Not Play” list?
We encourage it! We also absolutely take requests on the night from your guests, provided they fit the vibe you've established and aren't on your 'Do Not Play' list.
What does your DJ setup look like?
Our DJ setup is our pride and joy. We create stunning DJ setups to ensure that our Ultimate DJs brand is represented by how we present ourselves. You want your day to look a million dollars and we want to keep that theme with our DJ setup.
What is the process for booking?
All we require is a retainer/ deposit to lock in your requested date. Once you decide you’d like to book us, we will mail you a welcome kit.
Do you bring backup equipment with you to the wedding?
Yes we always ensure that there is a backup plan in place. Our equipment is always tested thoroughly before and after use to avoid any potential failures.
